40th Anniversary Photos

For their big celebration, I wanted to surprise my parents with something special.  15 years ago, I threw them a wedding reception.  But this year, the surprise needed to be tailored more to my mom's special needs.

I invited them over for dinner with some friends and let them pick the menu (pork tenderloin with squash casserole and coleslaw).  And then I put up a slideshow on the big tv of all the photos and letters I had been able to collect from friends and family over the last 2 months.  All 170 photos were fantastic!  And, my dad was surprised and my mom engaged.  The best of both worlds!!

Thank you so much to everyone who helped out!  It was amazing to me to catch up with so many of their friends.

Happy Birthday mi prima!

Got to celebrate the birth of my cousin Ellen.  I went to check out their "new" house which is a beautiful carriage house in Decatur.  Ashley suggested I get a weird gift for Ellen.  She got single purpose gadgets from C&B and she had to guess what each of them where.  Fantastic!  She got the mango pitter right away but the citrus peeler and tomato huller took longer.
