San Francisco

One of my favorite places on earth.  I only had a couple days but I spent them with some of my favorite people.

PS, I didn't take any good pictures of N&T so here's a recent photo from Atlanta

Three Dog Night

We had a house guest last night.  Sweet little Sally slept over.  One of the sweetest and mellowest dogs I have met...

Vol Repairs

My dad has finally found a repair shop for his 1972 VW SuperBeatle!  We have had years of struggle as car repair has evolved into computer based service.  The young mechanics are not even taught how to work on the old engines, especially an air-cooled engine like the bug's.  At Vol's, we found a serious old-school repair shop.  I loved the office so I took some pictures.  The filing system and door decals intrigued me most.

Filing system, these are just the current repair jobs

Can anyone put a year on this dinosaur?

There is some current technology lurking around the corner

Yay, runs beautifully (or at least runs)

New position

I started a new position this summer at my retail job.  Strangely enough, I like retail.  I like the selling.  I like introducing customers to new products or new to them techniques in the kitchen.  I like helping couples plan what their future home is going to look like after they open all their wedding presents.  And I love setting up the store displays.

This summer, I switched from being in the front, dressed nicely and selling, to sweating it out in the back of the house.  I get to work at (gasp) 8am and process though new product and price changes and online orders.  I take a piece of paper that lists out items of product, pull it all together, and make a beautiful and shop-able display.  And I love it.  Here are some of the displays I've done so far.
