One of these days

our sink hole will be fixed.  That day is not today.  This is City of Atlanta's 4th visit, first time digging.  Yes, that is a full size man in the hole.
And the guy in the orange vest is standing on the part that says "cut."  Pretty sure that meant cut here and not next to here...

Fascinating

I have been following this story with fascination.  I am so glad to have some positive news in the world.

A Chicken Cremation, aka, Viking Send-off minus the water

Our neighbor's chicken, Hazel, has been sick and needed to be put down.  Since the antibiotics and other meds made her unsafe for consumption, they decided to cremate Hazel at home.  Here are some pictures of our send off---RIP Hazel.

Orange Cat

Sometimes I forget how many names the Orange Cat has.  She is Manny and LC and OC.  The vet keeps reminding me that her name on file is Little Bit.  She got sick over Memorial Day and had to be hospitalized--she had lost weight and stopped eating.  According to the vet, she has kidney disease and a heart murmur.

We got her weight back up, somewhat, and give daily sub-q fluids.  One of us bleeds daily because she HATES it and fights us every time.  But fighting means energy so she is doing much better.  Here's to many months/years of scratches and bites to come.
