Bees are such drama queens

Bees swarm in the springtime and we had five in 2 weeks.  

The most wholesome drama and emergencies our street has ever seen!

The first, largest, and only wild swarm.  Look at it--its huge!!

A local bee keeper showed up to take home the wild swarm.

#3 (no pictures of 2) split from our healthy hive in the community garden.

As did #4

#5 went off with yet another beekeeper.

Five Years

The gift for five years is wood so we burned some.

I love that he's my best friend.  In these wild times of quarantine and social distancing, we get along better than ever.
